About Me

T. Rogers

Born and raised in the south, I grew up in a family generations deep into the music industry. My great grandmother played piano, live, on the radio - when it was king of the entertainment world. From that point on, my entire family has worked in the music industry. Growing up, I remember being in the studio with my dad, watching him produce and engineer music for his clients. It was in my blood; I knew that's what I had to do.

Before making my own beats, when I was about 8 years old, I would download the instrumentals of Top 40 rap songs from Napster (remember that?), and write my own lyrics to their beats. Clearly, I couldn't publish these, so the only way to get my message out and share my music with the world, was to do it myself.

When I was 12 years old, my father began letting me engineer a few sessions he had. I would learn the process of producing a song, and then attempt it later on by myself. Without my dad looking over my shoulder, I got to experiment and try my own things. This opened up  an entirely new world of sounds for me.

Now living in New York City, I am a producer, artist, songwriter. I like to send messages through my work, with a positive ending. There is no need for violence in music; we see enough of that on a day to day basis... You don't need to be from the streets, to make dope beats.... Music is your escape...
